Launched in 2014, Jersey City Youth Works (formerly Jersey City Summer Works) is a multi-program initiative focused on youth employment and positive youth development. Employment and enrichment programming seeks to encourage Jersey City residents ages 15-24 toward sustainable career paths by nurturing their interests, providing high-quality professional development and enrichment workshops, and offering opportunities for meaningful employment and internships.
Developed as a public-private partnership , Jersey City Youth Works’ workforce development programs serve more than 1,000 youth and young adults annually in collaboration with leading corporations, nonprofit organizations and institutes of higher education.
